
Larry Brown's career in the Fire Service and Law Enforcement began in 1965 in San Bernardino County and later moved to Riverside County. As Fire Marshal with the Norco Fire Department, he conducted all fire investigations and received awards for outstanding work with juvenile fire setters. During his association with the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Arson/Bomb Division he investigated both fire and bomb scenes and prepared arson cases for court. His years with a nationwide fire investigation company made him aware of the need for a professional and independent fire investigation company and ISI Investigations was started in 1982.
He has established an exceptional record for determining fire origin and cause, in addition to preparing arson and insurance fraud cases for court.
He holds a California Teaching Credential to teach fire investigation and law enforcement and has taught at several community colleges, fire departments, law enforcement agencies and seminars in California, Ohio, Arizona and Nevada. He has also conducted live-fire training classes for the San Bernardino County Fire Academy, the Sheriff's Academy and for many insurance companies and automobile manufacturers. He has published all training manuals for these classes and has published a number of articles in newletters and magazines.
His affiliation with professional organizations includes: Riverside County Arson Unit (President 1980), San Bernardino County Arson Unit (President 1982), California Conference of ArsonInvestigatiors, International Association of Arson Investigators, National Fire Investigators Association, National Fire Protection Association, and the International Association of Bomb Technicians and Investigators.

- Has testified as a Fire-Cause Expert Witness in Federal, Criminal and Civil courts in California, Massachusetts, Washington, Montana, Arizona and Texas.
